Sometimes, we stumble our way into success

Ever had something that “you know won’t work out” end up working out?

You apply for a job for shits and giggles, but end up landing the gig. You create content to solve your problems, it eventually turns into a product or service. You start a side project that becomes your main source of income.

Creativity comes from managing your mind, but that still doesn’t explain how we get lucky.

Passive genius might be the answer.

Our best stuff only comes to us when we’re relaxed, honest, and vulnerable.

The “F IT!” mentality is well-documented by psychologists, professors, and self-help book writers alike. It tells us to take risks, prepare, and commit.

As this teacher explains in a viral Quora post, “lazy” students who pass exams follow a similar pattern:

  • They favor concept learning over rote memorization. Instead of reciting formulas, they try to understand the underlying principles. It helps avoid mistakes (and stress).
  • They always “skip ahead” to make lessons stick better and avoid playing catch-up. Putting yourself on the good side of compound interest is always a win.
